Thanks. Yeah. I’m just on site doing an install for a friend and one of his fuse boxes with switched power has a torx bolt. I don’t have the right size bit and I can’t get access to it. Fml.

Ok, on my car I can’t find a switched fuse. Don’t ask. Let’s just move on. Can I use the 3 wire line as follows. Battery+ to constant. ACC unhooked. Will those provide me with low voltage protection? I don’t care about parking mode. It can record continuously if needed.

Does the Viofo A129 Parking Cable work for the SG9663DC?

I'd like to get Parking Mode hooked up to my Tesla Model 3. But as some of you may be aware, the Tesla 'constant' drops from 12V to 9V when turned off. All the parking cables I've seen have low voltage cut off protection. Is there any way to bypass this protection circuitry?

I hooked everything up and the multimeter confirms that the voltages are correct. I have a red light on in the little black box for voltage cut off. Voltage cut off is set to low. When I hook up my camera, it behaves like normal. It turns on when the power is on, but when the power is off...

Thanks for the awesome write up. I hate that rubber tube. How hard did you pull on the wire going through that? I don’t want to strip or break any wires within that rubber tube. It also looks like you folded the cable? Doesn’t it make it way too thick?

That would definitely help. Cord is still too thick to get it through the rubber hose connecting the trunk to the car (SUV). I'll probably just end up returning it to Amazon and get a Blackvue with a thinner front-to-rear cable. Wonder what Amazon FBA does with a clearly used product? Oh well.

So frustrated with trying to mount the rear camera discretely. The plug being on top of the camera makes it really difficult to get it close to the top of the glass. I need a few inches of spacing which places it really low on the rear glass. Also, what's up with the cable being super thick...
