Is there a way to make the 3500 go into Parking mode as soon as you turn off the engine? Seems to take about 10 minutes approx.

Seems hot to me but if that's the way it runs I'll live with it. Besides, warranty will cover it if it burns up.

The 3500 gets quite hot to the touch after a few minutes of use. Is this normal?

I've had the 3500 now for a couple of days and it gets really warm to hot. This is with 12 C degrees, in the summer its going to fry. It's mounted on the windshield as shown below. Do I have a defective model?
