When you download from the Thinkware.com site the Speed Camera file isn't zipped. Just download it and drop it into the 'driveinfo' folder of the memory card and the jobs done!

If the Sony Card seems to be working Okay under normal conditions then i would say Yes. Not all cards will work correctly but generally they will give a Card Error message or Format Card message continuously. The odd one i have seen does appear to work Okay but has caused issues with recordings...

In my opinion it's 'better to be safe than sorry!' as they say. Cards can corrupt if small bits of data get left behind and no one wants to risk losing an important incident. So it pays to format the card periodically to refresh it, we in the UK recommend once a month but it's personal choice...
