    Bitrate issue

so far...i haven't see any solution to this issue... You can try to use stock firmware...without any script, and set the resolution to 1080 60fps....and test if the bitrate stays stable of 25mb per second... for me, i can get only 22mb of bitrate using the stock firmware...

    Bitrate issue

i think it's a mysterious bug.... i tried several microsd cards already..with writing speed of 18MB, 45MB, and even up to 90 MB...still turn out to be the same thing... So, unless you are using a fake card or only C4 card, i don't really think the bitrate issue has anything to do with memory...

    Workaround for file spliting/bitrate drop.

not so sure if you are talking about me... since i use yi camera as a dash cam....i can't imagine how I'm going to connect it to PC while riding on the road.... i never said formatting would solve the splitting or dropping of bitrates problem once and for all...just provided a possible way to...

Okay, usually there are 3 types of format in the SD formatter software... In the past I always choose "Quick" as in the first picture...but yesterday i just tried to use the "Full(Overwrite)" one as in the second picture. Overwrite format takes more time...but i once heard from friends that it...

@nCaine no offense here...i guess many people suffering from file splitting issue here use fast enough microsd card already... 70 mb is only about 8-9 MB of writing speed...most genuine C10/UHS-I cards should handle it.. personally i use Kingston U3 SDCA3 (90/80 MB) and Sandisk extreme pro U3...

@ccdff yes, so does the Fried's firmware! But no matter i use custom firmware or stock firmware, it all turns out the same. I said it before~ my main purpose is dash cam....but no matter what purposes, variable bitrates of the video will always annoy me..

@ccdff hi~ I sent my yi camera back to the service center and got a new one today. Without using custom firmware or any script, i just started recording at 1080 60p video at night with the loop function on. I manually stop the recording at about 20:23 then started shooting again immediately...

Yes...i once doubted that it had something to do with the hardware flaw.. so just go back to stock firmware today without any modifications or scripts...try to see if there's still any file missing or splitting problem..!!

actually i'm not familiar with code...:p i just saw some people here using script with writeb function to recall certain resolutions that are cancelled at the newest firmware.. just not so sure whether it can work on switching resolutions among the existing ones~ so i decide to test it myself...

i've tried using custom firmwares and scripts for changing bitrates. and both of them cause splitting issues for me..like the first recording file would be only seconds with 35mb and the following files would be normal for time but with only 20mb for bitrate.... i've turned on the loop function...

    Yi hacked resolution 2304x1296 30fps 35Mbits

hello everyone here... I found out that if you turned on the loop function with using custom firmwares or scripts that changing the resolutions or birates the file splitting will be much more worse... just realize this situation today when I turn off the looping function today...normally i use...
