Really is super simple, open your GS8000 with 3 screws, then pull out the four screws holding down the main board, snip both the wires on the nasty battery pack behind and re solder externally to a new 3.7v battery, Nokia Phone battery works just fine if you have one kicking around, super super...

File lock........ On the android version of the app you can lock a file on playback, on the apple version you cannot, please fix BlackVue !!! I have been waiting for what seems an age for this small mod :( The file lock button offered on other cams is probably the only single thing I miss...

Conclusive test shows camera is fixed 100% Going to see if I can revive my second camera which failed, now I know what to look for ! Ran the camera in 25+c conditions for hours today without a single problem. Cheers Mark.

Clearly your outback roads are smoother than our motorways and trunk roads eh :) Mine is at minimum and still gets false detections all the time, 1g scale is not enough, should be scaled to 2g IMHO for when your on the move, 1g is fine when stationary.

Yes you can download at the same time as recording.......the download is extremely slow sadly.

New external battery and holder ordered, will solder it up and test when it arrives.
