Update: Street Guardian has amazing service!

The excellent and extremely prompt customer service I’ve personally recieved from Street Guardian USA is why the SG9665GC is the #1 dash cam I recommend to everyone. I personally own 3 SG9665GC’s and 3 SGZC12RC‘s, spread through 3 different cars, and have only had trouble a few times and every...

    Having a little fun

I forgot I even posted this, damn life keeps interfering with my online time. I agree, fun can be had at low speeds, we just happened to have fun at higher speeds that day. The road was clear, we both know what we're doing so we had a little fun. Neither of us was going all out, I actually...

    Having a little fun

There is one entry point, on the right, not far down from where the 2 lanes starts and you can see all the way up that ramp. Literally no possible way to get surprised by oncoming vehicles. I drive this road every single day, multiple times. I know it like the back of my hand. I'm much more...

    Having a little fun

Like I said....no feasible defense. BUT, we like having fun, so we do. And if we get pulled over, we just hang until the cop catches up. Literally no excuse other than...."It was fun". Blew past a cop, outside his suv doing radar, KNEW he was coming after me. I literally pulled over and...

    Having a little fun

You only get one life, might as well live it. We get called crazy, insane, and many other choice names, but we have FUN. Always try to do it responsibly, we have one rule with our toys.....one drink and they get put away, ALWAYS. We (obviously) do stupid enough **** sober in/on them, don't even...

    Having a little fun

You'd be surprised at what the Camaro will catch. From a dead stop, his bike's got me beat hands down, until about 120, but the car pulls hard, through all the gears. I actually did get pulled over once after passing an unmarked statie on that same road, right where it turns into two lanes. He...

    Having a little fun

The hubby and I decompressing after a long day. He finally has his bike running right. Ran out of road before either of us ran out of gears.

    New Camera, GPS Question

I have mine tucked up under the headliner, can't even see it, and it still gets a great signal.

First dash cam; so far so good but tips and pointers welcome

I'll try to remember to take a pic at some point. I basically shaved off the plastic that holds the cap on, then sanded a bit more right around the plug. Actually thought about just ripping the guts right out of it and making my own case for it, but that just sounded like too much work. As for...

First dash cam; so far so good but tips and pointers welcome

If you save the video to the idevice, there is audio. Had an issue with both cases, iphone and ipad, nothing an xacto knife couldn't solve...on the iReader, not the idevices. Guess I'm just more a "DIY" person than most. Didn't even phase me to modify the iReader to fit my cases, never gave it a...

First dash cam; so far so good but tips and pointers welcome

I have an iphone and ipad also and wanted a way to view the footage roadside, if ever needed. Bought this... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01CZUI2XE/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and along with the free app, works great to view sd files from the GC on both, no matter the ios version.

Street Guardian SG9663DC (DC = Dual Channel)

Millennial much? When it actually gets released I'm sure there will be a new thread about it. Until then, relax, enjoy AND learn from the very intelligent, if off topic, posts here. I'll admit I thought Canadians had it great with their "free" insurance, until I read stuff here. I got me an...

Been thinking about investing in vibrating **** rings.....any thoughts? ;)

Street Guardian SG9663DC (DC = Dual Channel)

I have 4 cams in one of my cars, not because of the stoners, or even the drunks, specifically.....I fear a far, far greater enemy.....the idiot. Seriously, I'm much more scared of idiots than of anyone else on the road. Right lane must turn right? Um, that doesn't apply to ME, right? Speed...

SG9665GC firmware updates and pre release access

Gps will keep up to at least 170ish on the newest firmware. Loving it. Shoulda downshifted to 4th earlier, then maybe hit 6th towards the end. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzquxgs4jttgnem/170.mp4?dl=0

GPS Poor Signal / Mounting Angle

I'm on the other side of the spectrum with this gps. I recently temporarily moved the GC to be my front cam(an experiment for now) and didn't want to "mount" the gps anywhere. I ended up just tucking it up between the headliner and the roof of the car and hoping, but not really expecting it to...

SG9665GC firmware updates and pre release access

When driving at 100mph+, I can gaurantee you that I am hyper aware of everything around me and the road in front of me has my 100% undivided attention. Honestly, you'd be safer on the road with me driving 100+ than with some dingbat going 40-45mph and texting, reaching for something, or yelling...

    Constant rebooting

Ok. I'm willing to try anything but I fear it might be a hardware issue.

What CAR are you putting those DASH CAMS in again?

My daily driver is my trusty 03 Forester, it's getting tired though, going to have to replace soon. Have one GC in that. My fun, fairweather car is a 16 Camaro SS, now that one IS a beast....a beauty and a beast. Have one GC and 3 RC's in it.

3M Tape came off from the plastic side

3M has an adhesion promoter for just this type of application. It's a sponge, looks like a wetnap. We buy by the box.
