    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

@jokiin we have been there and just to be sure I tested my 16gb Kingston card again with f3 and got zero errors. The code is broken and noone cares... Just look at the customer feedback in http://www.nanodashcam.com/update.html or...

    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

Today someone hit my car with a door in a parking lot. When I went to check the camera, who parked in that side, the nanoq 903 said that the memory card is full. I painstakingly check, every time I go for a trip, that dashcam date is correct. So RTC isn't the problem, the SD card cleanup code...

    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

@Rayman.Chan I have V0.2 board and I also added 220R resistor. I have the similar nanoq version as lacibaci nanoq dissassembly thread. Firmware with date/time saving/restoring function would help even if the RTC battery is soldered to the wrong pins or goes empty too fast. It is really...

@Rayman.Chan do you plan to release firmware with RTC fixes or you are just ignoring this thread ?

    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

Is it possible to release a new firmware, in a month, with mentioned date/time saving/restoring function ? This cam is useless when it can't even clean scdard because of the small RTC battery.

    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

The cam could test at startup if its date has reseted to year 2016, then it could make some noise and show the date dialog.

    nanoQ 0903 hardware update

This fix does indeed prolong the battery, but date still resets after ~3 days standby, when I'm driving short trips.

    nanoQ 0903

Dashcam doesn't delete files correctly and ends up filling all the sdcard space after that it can't record anymore. Also sometimes it makes files with wrong date "01.01.current year" and you end up with full sdcard. Other people have the same problems, check the comments under nanodashcam.com...

    nanoQ 0903

Yes I'm using mainly linux. Thanks, after renaming to FIRMWARE.BIN and with 2gb SD card upgrade worked. < this should be sticky With 16gb it didn't work. I restored the 16gb partition layout, formated it according to that article Then I tested it with f3 SD card test and got zero errors...

    nanoQ 0903

So why can't I upgrade the firmware ? Cam just deletes the FIRMWARE.bin btw 2gb SD card has been never used and behaves the same as 16gb Kingston.

    nanoQ 0903

I used that card about a year in Sony Z3 Compact and it worked perfectly.

    nanoQ 0903

16gb had ~3mb free and then the partition started, I made new one with all the space used. Partition was probably aligned or the free space was for booting as the partition had bootable flag. I had to test, maybe that was the reason firmware upgrade didn't work. Anyway I'm open for ideas, why...

    nanoQ 0903

Yea, I partitioned, formated SD cards under Linux and Windows, it ended up nanoq complaining about wrong cluster size. Also I stated that I used card reader.

    nanoQ 0903

That was the first thing I tested with 2gb sd card.

    nanoQ 0903

I'm having trouble with firmware upgrade, cam has v1.7 and after ~2 weeks stops recording. I'm using Kingston 16gb Micro SD HC class 10, formated with cam and it has fat32 and I also tested with 2gb micro SD. Twice I had a need to get the recording of an accindent and both times the nanoq...
