There is another socket on this unit called '4 pin remote switch extension connector' in the manual. Has anyone worked out what this is actually for and used it? I was kind of hoping I might add a second camera (rear) to it instead of using an twin adapter in the supplied socket. Cheers! Andy

Unfortunately it appears I got a bad one :-( Lots of problems using genuine Sandisk and Kingston memory with freezing and I am also dubious about the battery and firmware. Also discovered consecutive file numbers do not feature the corresponding video locations so as it stands, completely...

So far so good and they seem to have the customer service aspect in place. Will report back how things work out in due course. Cheers!

That's what I was hoping! I have purchased a mini 0806 (from Combi here in the UK) to test out before buying any more. I am impressed by the much improved sound as well on the mini 0806, as compared to my Blackvue (which was absolutely awful). Thanks for your reply. Andy

Sound on my Blackvue DR500GW when driving is also atrocious (much worse than a cheapo Chinese dashcam). When the Blackvue is in parking mode the sound is normal though. It seems to me that the air flow from the air con doesn't help but my first dash cam was a cheapo and it never caused a problem...

When I received my BlackVue DR550GW it had a different video cable in the package. Instead of the straight connection mine is a 90 degree one and that makes it easier route and a better connection. Maybe a straw poll of the types of cables people are using may help to see if that is the...
