Hi all A119 installed and updated and seems to be running ok. I am trying to view the files now on my Windows 7 PC. Its a decent spec and the files play just fine in Media Player. I have tried Dashcam Viewer and it seems a bit flaky. When I get it to run, its very stutter at times. I also...

I took some test video today with an A119. I loaded up the files into registrator viewer and it looks like it's playing the file but the screen is blank. The GPS shows up fine though. If I play the video on windows media player the video displays fine. Any ideas?

Right....the solution to my problem of deciding was to order both!! I will see which of the two will make the best install and go with that and return the one i dont want. Ordered the A119 from amazon (spytec but fulfilled by amazon) and the f50 from thinkware uk.

Can you suggest a good quality but budget hardwire kit?

Why and how would it not empty the battery? I cant see any minimum voltage settings in the manual for the a119? Can you confirm how it works and also can ig be set to automatically turn to parking mode when ignition is off?

And now....more confusion......big price drop for the a119 with gps on amazon uk, fulfilled by amazon from spytec. Which means they will both be same price again (about 83 GBP) to include GPS and hardwire kit. Arggghh

First dashcam purchase, which i will hardwire. Want something that works well and is reliable without too muxh fiddling. I found the A119 and was going to buy but then i was pointed to the thinkware f50 which looks nice. But then i have heard the video quality isnt great. And then today...

Ok. So it wouldnt power up with only ACC and GRND connected? I see you can turn off parking and set voltage limits. But i am not sure i could trust it :)

I am thinking of buying an F50 with hardwire kit. With most other cams i have looked at, they come with a kit that has two wires. One earth and one live which you can either connect to permanent live or ignition live. I had planned initially to just wire up to ignition live and not use...

Video upload would be great! I did think about saving money and going for an A118 but havent looked into ot that much but dont think i will bother with that. Its the form factor of the A119 that i really like. I can see i can install that and it would be almost invisible. The F50 looks nice...

Lots of sense in that post. The criticism of the video quality was on youtube. But so long as its not terrible and picks up the details needed thats the main thing. Howver it was described as "awful" which is quite strong. Have to say i am edging towards the F50 now as its slightly cheaper...
