    Camera not storing files

I'm sorry I took so long to get back to you guys. Formatting the card fixed the problem. It's now storing files. Makes me wonder if I ever bothered to format it to begin with. (I'm usually conscientious about doing things like that, but I'm also old and forgetful.) I have not yet done the...

    Camera not storing files

I formatted it tonight, but I'll do it again before copying the firmware update over to it. I just have to remember where I put the SD to USB adapter.....

    Camera not storing files

Exactly why I thought, "I should check the camera to make sure it's still working OK." Imagine my surprise when I found there were very few files and nothing past March of last year.

@HonestReview, yes the camera is hardwired. @jokiin, I forgot to check the firmware, but it's whatever came with the camera. I'm sure you've made updates since I bought it. But how do I apply them? UPDATE: Firmware version is DCPRO191023V1.18

    Camera not storing files

@HonestReview, I bought the SD card from Street Guardian when I bought the camera. (That doesn't mean it isn't defective, just that it's likely not a cheapo.) There are four videos on the card, dated 3/18/2020 and 3/20/2020. I viewed two of them, and the look fine. So I suspect the card is OK...

    Camera not storing files

I bought an SG9663DC a while ago (front camera only) and had it professionally installed. Since I'm retired, I don't drive much, and most of our trips are short - to the doctor's, the hairstylist, grocery store, etc. When I start the car, the camera beeps so I have the comfort of knowing that...

    COVID-19 Coronavirus Thread

I'm watching the live town hall meeting on Fox this morning. There's a scrolling ticker on the screen showing US cases and deaths, and worldwide cases and deaths. The US is at a 1.2% mortality rate, but sadly, the worldwide fatality rate is 4.4%. The US is now over 300,000 tests conducted...

First of all, to be an "officially approved" treatment, it will take months if not years. However, all the involved drugs are already approved for use in treatment. So, doctors don't have to wait for official approval to use these drugs. In fact, they are using them now, with great success, and...

Looks like hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin and zinc might be the cure for COVID-19. A New York doctor has 350 patients and he's not had a single death or hospitalization. He's treating his patients with 200 mg of hydroxychloroquine twice daily, 500 mg of azithromycin once daily and zinc...

I've been researching this today. It looks very promising, and doctors can prescribe it because the drug is already approved. We don't have time for clinical trials. People are dying. New York will begin testing it tomorrow, and I expect we will have positive results in the near future. Then...

Currently, the US mortality rate is 1.4%, and testing is just now coming online in significant numbers. I expect it will drop noticeably as testing ramps up. We will never test everyone, and there will always be undetected cases due to their asymptomatic nature.

OK. Now think about that for a moment. If they only examine really sick people, then, assuming arguendo, that your theory is correct, and the number of infects ARE grossly underreported, then that means that the virus is even less deadly than initially thought. For example, let's assume only 20%...

So, for the Danes, 11.7% of tested were infected. 14.8% of those infected were hospitalized. 20% of those hospitalized were in ICU. 5% of those hospitalized died. 0.7% of those infected died. 0.7% is the number the experts in the US are saying is the likely mortality rate. That's seven times as...

Unlike a lot of people, I've been through this. Last year, my wife contracted pneumonia and it progressed into ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome), which is what is happening to critically ill COVID-19 patients. That required that she be in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator for...
