Frankly I would expect a similar difference if this was the same sensor except for the second camera having the maximum auto-ISO level set higher.

Brightness is governed by exposure, here that parameter is called auto exposure bias. I’ve set mine to: AE bias: +0.3 I left contrast and sharpness at the “standard” setting.

Actually you seem to be confirming a suspicion of mine. When I first tried to connect the 0801 to my computer via USB cable, I only got a reliable connection with the third cable. Strange, because the other two used to work fine with other hardware. Plus, the connection isn’t really snug.

Thanks, but I’m on a Mac. :-) I looked at a recent file, the bitrate is 15,13 Mbit/s according to the Quicktime Inspector. File size of a 5 minute loop with audio is around 582.5 MB. This will be slightly different on a PC because a Mac Megabyte is 1000KByte vs. the traditional 1024.

Hi guys! :-) I suppose this firmware wouldn’t work on an 0801 with internal storage but otherwise identical? There wouldn’t be a menu to switch between inner and outer card? I’m asking because my 0801 sometimes doesn’t turn on, and on other occasions I get a USB storage error message. Sigh.
