Night quality depends on firmware version, some firmware improve better night quality but in that case usually daylight quality is little bad, so choise your compromise.

Put Capacitor firmware on battery version cam (is compatibile) and battery will live much longer

Maybe cheaper NT96620 instead NT96650 chipset. Some G1W models have this chipset and is cheaper but 25fps (1080P) is the maximum that can be achieved. NT96650 chip have 30fps in same 1080P resolution. Also is important is it AVI or MOV format files

A118.20160130 is Battery firmware, 20160316 is Cap. firmware but working well in batt version cam. :)

Jeah, just update my A118 (battery version) with 20160316 (capacitor firmware) evrything working well (GPS speed in cam, metadata in reg. viewer, and night rec. quality much beter than earlier streetguardian or 20150403 firmware)

For G1W I recommend Samsung 32 or 16 or 8 Gb any class, I have 64Gb samsung sometimes record OK sometimes have corrupted files, I have odder samsung (32g/10c) work perfect For G1WH I d'ont know, maybe accept same card manufacturer

One question, I have a cigaret lighter to double USB converter in my car but with 5V/2.1A output, and i used for power to G1W and mobile phone sometime. Is this output power suitable for my dashcam or is to high?
