    A119S v2

So, if a card becomes read-only, the camera will obviously stop recording. The Viofo cams (and presumably others) beep/flash and/or display a warning message if there is a problem with the card or the camera isn't recording. Right? (My A119S V1 didn't like a new Panasonic card and displayed...

    A119S v2

Awesome! I've been looking for a way to transfer those bloody rollovers involving decapitation from my dashcam to my computer in 30 seconds instead of 60. Because there are least two a day, that would save me enough time each day to type more replies like this! ;)

    A119S v2

I've been using removable storage devices since the days of PCMCIA ("Flash cards") in laptops, digital cameras, automobiles, portable music players, surveillance cameras, quadcopters, and dashcams. I've used various brands (mostly SanDisk) and various form factors including PCMCIA/Flash, USB...

    A119S v2

Yup. I stopped by Hobby Lobby on the way home from work and picked up their thinnest sheet, which was 2mm. It was about 4x too thick. No worries - I can make a lot of coasters out of that 89-cent foam sheet. :) My V2 fit snugly against the GPS mount and I drive a smooth vehicle on good roads...

    A119S v2

I'd never heard of "EVA foam" outside of this discussion before. Apparently, it's also known as "craft foam". http://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Basic-Crafts/Craft-Foam/Black-2mm-Thick-EVA-Foam-Sheet/p/28626

    A119S v2

That would be great. I'd love to have the foam for the V2 I just ordered from you. Maybe it was a decision that was made after production had already started and the first batch shipped? Still an inconvenience, but if Viofo or the seller makes it right by sending out a piece of this material...

Anyone else returning their V1 and buying the V2?

I bought an A119 from CYA via Amazon on April 5th. It didn't like a 16GB Panasonic card that came with my DJI quadcopter, but works perfectly with a 64GB SanDisk (you know - the one that is NOT recommend). Unfortunately, I ordered it in a hurry and got the model without the GPS mount by mistake...

    A119S v2

@OCD Tronic, will the EVA foam be included on the first batch? I saw your later post on another thread where you indicated it would be. I just pre-ordered an A119S V2 from you via Amazon and wanted to verify. I've had no significant problems yet with the A119S V1 ordered from a different seller...

    A119S glare from light sources

I understand, but lens flare is something that professional photographers who use lenses and camera bodies costing tens of thousands of dollars battle with. If you get lens flare with a $13,000 Canon L-series hand-built lens mounted to a $5,000 full-frame body, you're certainly going to get it...

    A119S glare from light sources

The "acoustic" windshield in my '17 Ridgeline makes for some interesting artifacts - even to the human eye. It diffracts bright points of light more than "regular" windshields. It's not dangerous, but it's definitely noticeable. Also, keep in mind we're talking about "dashcam videography" here...
