I believe 30fps is sufficient as we do not use it as a action cam. In order to record an incidence, 30fps is more than enough. If 60fps is available without additional cost, i would take it. However, it would use more storage space. Again, my personal experience. :)

You want want to contact the seller for support. Did you try to power on the camera without the memory card?

Does it come with higher resolution (4MP)? To be honest, I do not see a real benefit of any resolution higher than 1080P. Just my personal opinion.

It really depends on what type of heat sink (material/shape) is applied to the Ambarella chip. As long as the camera can maintain good working temperature and work reliably, we are all happy. :)

Thanks Sungmoon. The IR filter removes IR lights during the daytime which makes sense. But at night, should the IR filter be removed so that the low light sensitivity is improved?

I am wondering why dash cam does not come with IR cut filter to improve low light performance.

Certainly... Unfortunately, Youtube won't be able to show the original quality due to the compression... Maybe Google glass will also use the 4K technology which will be really cool...

this looks very promising... I have seen 4K H.264 video on a 4K monitor... the video quality is stunning.... There are several security camera manufactures already working on the solution and demo'ed at trade shows. To be honest, I do not see a use of the 4K res in dash cam since 1080P...
