    Screensaver Behaviour

    I'm using a Nextbase 128gb U3, formatted once a month or so.

    Screensaver Behaviour

Mine has the latest Firmware (R19.1) and it does it. Not a big deal - I'm sure NB have more pressing matters to deal with.

    Screensaver Behaviour

I find that happens to mine now and again as well ...when I switch the engine off the battery symbol on the dashcam has the lightning sign in it (to denote charging) even though there's no external power to it. I have to press the stop record and then power off button, otherwise it keeps on...

    Screensaver Behaviour

Clearly not much of an issue. TBH having read how the benefits of stop-start are more about car manufacturers keeping their emission figures sweet, and less about the car owner actually making any kind of savings, I wish I could permanently switch mine off. The screen coming on and going off...

    Screensaver Behaviour

Me… a new member? Hardly! Still, it’s been a while, and I can see that no-one’s dusted in here since I was last in. Any road up, I’ve just acquired a 522GW (since having a few years good use from a 312GW), so I’m in the process of putting it through its paces. I’ve noticed a few threads...

    Time error on 312GW

I was asked to check my video footage using Replay 3 by grabbing it from the Nextbase 512GW downloads. I didn't really have a good play with Replay 3 to be honest - it seemed ok and did the job, but I just couldn't seem to find any option for a timeline, which sort of defeated the object of...

    Time error on 312GW

Fair enough. I'll persevere with it, as I can't say as I'm that impressed with the other viewers that are out there.

    Time error on 312GW

I'm finding that I have to adjust the Datakam Player timezone setting to GMT+2 to get it to show the correct time on the speed timeline. All the settings on the 312GW are as they should be, as the timestamp on the recordings is always correct. Had several email exchanges with Tiffany, who...

    Time error on 312GW

Hmmm... here's a new one for me! I seem to have an intermittent problem (only happened a couple of times so far) with the time on my 312GW, which is only noticable when I look at my journey on the Datakam Player. As you can see from this image of the timeline, I actually started my journey...

I've been using the new Nextbase Reflection Free Lens on my 312GW for a few weeks now and it works well - in all conditions, from full sun to unlit roads at night, and it does make a difference to the video footage. Just one minor thing... I tend to clean this lens now and again with a micro...

I just put a light-coloured piece of paper on to the dash (some old parking fine!) so that it reflected in the windscreen, and then rotated the filter ring until it disappeared off the cam viewer ...job done! I've yet to try it at night with street lights/headlights etc.

Appears to work well in today's sunshine, and it fits nice and firmly on the lens. It's all a matter of whether or not you think its worth the current 20 quid price tag at Halfords, or go for the alternative DIY version (that I've seen on Youtube).

Excellent... now I don't have to cover me' dash in black felt cloth :)

Have I heard correctly that Nextbase are producing an 'add-on' polarizing filter for some of its dashcam's?
