The camera is warm DR750S-2 CH

That's right. You stuff a ton of video processing into a super tiny enclosed camera? It's definitely going to get warm. Then you top that off with temps inside a car that can easily get over 150°f on top that ?? Not only is it a miracle that the cameras take the heat abuse as long as they do...

Continuous recording in Normal mode (BlackVue dr750s)

Very simple. The sensitivity is so ridiculously sensitive that literally everything will que it up. Very disappointed myself. .

    Hardware Revisions?

sorry to hear about not qualifying for membership, & that they no longer carry it. That's where we got ours, and They carried it for at least another year. It does seem to be available still on the North American continent, but it may come & go. It's only speculation, but it wouldn't surprise...

    Hardware Revisions?

Do NOT buy it from Amazon, much less the authorized resellers IMO. Let me suggest why. The warranty service gets pretty sucky - pretty fast. On the other hand, if you get it from Costco on-line, (last time in the UK, i recall they do have costco's there) you just take it back when it fails (and...

thank you for picking the nits. Point was, don't be confused by the terms. .

Which class Memory card would I need to buy for my DR750S ?

the dishonest companies that are neither, call them high performance, which means you end up with a card that in video applications is neither.

Cam caught a thief. My neighbor's $800 bike was stolen.

When the neighbors have bars on their doors &/or Windows, you know it's time to look for another apartment. Ignore the obvious, & you better darn well have at least one Kryptonite Lock running through your bike frame. And then? .... that's even locked inside your apartment. This, from a guy who...

Which class Memory card would I need to buy for my DR750S ?

some manufacturers call them endurance - while other manufacturers s call them high endurance. I wonder if they are the same thing. .

    DR750S-2CH Heat Survivability

right now - it's winter down undah .... & the 750 isn't that old. Give it time. Even if the MicroSD survives past next april you'll be one lucky owner. BTW - areas around California deserts hit 50°C on more than one occasion, w/ a record high in the mid 50's. [emoji6] .

Is it dead? Blue light on, no voice, no wifi

considering how hot a car gets inside, much less how hot the camera can get, it's no surprise that delicate dlectronics get fried so quickly. Although the compactness of these units is great, maybe it won't be too long until a dash cam can include cooling mechanisms - as well as being compact. .

DR650S [1.0.8] - Check SD card! (Well, it's there alright...)

Do you regularly reformat your SD card? If no - that will cause them to die. Is your SD card a high endurance type? If not, you are lucky to have it last as long as you did. In any event, that will be your easiest way to diagnose, by simply inserting a new card. .

    DR650GW-2CH-IR

it feels like blackvue expects owners to do the same "way-too-expensive" process that many cell phone owners do. Namely, after a few years, they expect you to find that device obsolete - & just move on to another expensive dash cam. Thus, it doesn't matter that the dash cam is worn out in just...

    2017-2018 CR-V install?

Our install is in the Tesla Model X, easily more complicated but you may get a better idea of running cable from watching any one of a ½ dozen videos involving that model in your camera. Good luck!

    2017-2018 CR-V install?

First, you don't say what type of camera you have. But in any event you could probably follow the directions that this Honda CRV uses: Our 2-channel dash cam is made by blackview, supposedly one of the top 3 best, but like most of the Wi-Fi cloud-enabled models, it is very prone to damage from...

    Did Blackvue EOL the DR650S-series?

You might as well forget about it. Look at the app & it's reviews on google playstore. 200's of complaints that pitasoft/blackview just ignores .... customers trying to find out why their product is failing. It's pretty troubling. Sorry to hear you're in the failing camp. .

    650S 'fried nand chip'

Every once in awhile Costco will sell these things. That way you can take it back - years later, & Costco probably causes the company to eat the cost of their junk. That's how it should be. It's been a few years since I've seen them at their online store, so maybe costco no longer sells them. .

    650S 'fried nand chip'

So - yea . . . . Imagine that, a dash cam inside a car in the blazing heat - where most summer temperatures can reach an easy 150°f. But we're supposed to turn it off, as opposed to the manufacturer making their product reliable for the environment that they are operating in - so it doesn't fry...

    DR750S-2CH Heat Survivability

I love the Teeny size of the blackvue camera, like a roll of half dollars. However that leads ZERO room for getting cooled down - even as these suckers generate a lot of their OWN heat . I hope Blackvue comes up with a heatsink of sorts, maybe even a little mini cooling condenser. It's not a New...

    DR750S-2CH Heat Survivability

WHY!! if cameras subjected to the 100's of dedrees hotter in outer space, & they do ok, do you really believe we can't do it here on Earth, where inside car temperatures will never exceed 175°f ?? should it be that way though - if you are spending $100's more than the cost of the medium...
