Anybody have older Cloud Viewer (Windows) releases?

The Zip files just contain the installer EXEs, which were digitally signed by Pitasoft. So definitely legit. And if they'd been infected in some way, the digital signature check would have failed. So Google was probably talking out its ass again. :) I'll look at options to store them somewhere...

Anybody have older Cloud Viewer (Windows) releases?

Luckily, I managed to grab them all in time. And it looks like 3.15 is the sweet spot in terms of minimal bugginess. Mighty suspicious timing though. Makes me wonder if somebody here squealed.

Anybody have older Cloud Viewer (Windows) releases?

That's awesome, thanks. I never understand why Blackvue doesn't maintain their own repository, especially given that they seem incapable of NOT introducing a new bug for each one they fix. I stopped updating my camera firmware because of that, constant chasing of new bugs. :-|

Anybody have older Cloud Viewer (Windows) releases?

I had 3.11 installed, which has a bug that I can't change the playback speed. Annoying, but I wasn't really following releases much because I don't use it often. Eventually I looked, and 3.16 was out. The good news is the playback-speed bug is fixed. The bad news is now it crashes trying to...

    Needing help please

You're looking for a cigarette lighter to USB adapter? They're dime-a-dozen. Grab one from Amazon. Something that puts out 3A at 5V should do the trick. What you describe with your car stereo isn't uncommon. It wants to use the USB port to play music from a thumbdrive. It sees what looks like a...

Dash cam over five years old and still operating flawlessly. What are your results?

My BlackVue 750S-2CH is about/over 5 years old now and still going strong. Even on the original microSD. It replaced a 650S-2CH that died in the first year. However, I had to back out a few firmware updates, and I'm still on (I believe) 1.14 since it just works.

Would love to turn dash cam off,. Blackvue

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32860140178.html is what I used before I installed the MultiSafer (precursor to the Powermagic).

    please educate me

When there's a recording in process, the camera needs to get a buffer of video, and then save it to a file. The problem with trying to keep one file open and record continuously into it is that if there's the slightest problem or power glitch, the entire file is corrupted and lost. Dashcams...

BlackVue Sync - A new portable, hands-off, automatic recording downloader for NAS or Docker

Is that an extra colon after the word 'dashcam' there? That doesn't look right to me. Then the '/recordings' part after is being misinterpreted by the API call.

    BlackVue App Update

I use BitWarden (password manager). Works like a charm to populate username/password. BitWarden itself uses (or can use) biometrics to access the database. I hadn't used the app in a while, so I just upgraded (v3.35), logged in using BitWarden, and it just worked. Subsequent app starts didn't...

    Automatic download over home WiFi?

I originally wrote my own software to download from my 750S, which does much the same as the various other packages that arrived later. When I pull into my driveway, my 750 connects to the home WiFi, the software recognizes that it's connected, and sucks down all new videos (with some deletion...

Imagine if Viofio etc Videos Were This Clear

A recent model GoPro can get video of that caliber. The stabilization and horizon-levelling of the GoPro Hero 10 is pretty darn cool, no gimbal required. And it can do 5.3k video. The problem is, everybody knows that GoPros aren't intended for, and in fact are not really good at, super-long-term...

    BlackVue Downloader [Latest http://www.gizmocoding.com]

The BlackVue Viewer for Windows can be used to view your video sequences after downloading. With my own downloader (I wrote my own that is a slightly minimalist version of BVD), I separate the downloads into folders by date. Then I fire up the BV Viewer using the "SD Card Viewer", select a...

1440p dashcam recoded file is only 1080p

Here are the raw specs for the camera module referenced in the Ali ad: http://www.camera-module.com/product/2mpcameramodule/2mp-sony-imx307-camera-module-low-illumination.html I'm not seeing anything in the specs that would indicate 2k (2560x1440). So, yeah, the Ali ad appears to have incorrect...

    Questions from a Beginner?

If I'm understanding your goal correctly, most people trying to do what you describe would likely use an "action camera" (GoPro, etc) mounted outside the vehicle. Depending on where you mount it, you can minimize bits of the vehicle in the shot and also classic problems like windshield...

PowerMagic turns off when Engine turns off

You're going to have a bit of a voltage drop inside the PMP. The circuit that's measuring what it thinks is your battery voltage is likely going to see less than what you'll see measuring at the battery with a voltmeter. I'd expect easily a half-Volt difference, maybe more. Try setting the PMP...

1080p Dashcam - save footages via USB

BlackVue with WiFi, and one of the 3rd-party software packages you can find on this site will do that. I'd imagine cameras that allow a USB hookup (BlackVue doesn't) would just show up as a drive letter on your laptop, and you'd need a simple script to copy files to the laptop drive on a regular...

Largest SD card for BlackVue DR900X-2Ch

All dashcams have a limit to the length of individual recordings, because if something bad happens while an output file is open, the entire recording will be lost. In the "old days", dashcams opened the file for output and just left it open for long periods of time. If the vehicle was in an...

    Watching video recordings

There are a few apps mentioned in the forums here that basically wait for your camera to connect to WiFi when you get home, and suck down all of the new recordings to your PC for offline viewing. I have one I wrote for myself, but a few people have shared theirs and made them somewhat more...
