    Battery or Capacitor?

I may be a little late to the party, but to answer your third and fourth questions: I never bring in my dash cam, it stays in the vehicle 24/7. I do not know about the VAVA (it's coming this Friday), but I think my @viofo A119 is only rated to -10 degrees Celsius and I've had it in the vehicle...

    Another Narrow Street

Pretty cool. I'm thinking my truck wouldn't have mirrors by the end of that ride.

What 128gb SD cards work best?

I don't think there is a need for you to understand the OP's reasoning or be sorry for any reason. He specified his reasoning for wanting a 128GB SD card and asked for our assistance for choosing an appropriate one. There are benefits to having a 128GB SD card. In certain models, a larger SD...

What 128gb SD cards work best?

I'm using the 128GB Samsung EVO+ U3 card in my A119. I've only had it for a couple months, but no complaints. The funny thing is that it is less expensive than the U1.

Try the Ring flood light, it may do what you're asking for.

+94.6C Extreme temperature of Dashboard with only +27.5C outside

Yep, here in Ontario, if you own a light duty truck (e.g. Sierra 1500-3500) the sticker goes on the front plate, if you own a regular passenger vehicle, the sticker goes on the back plate. The police here now have a computerized dashcam system indicates whether you have paid your licensing fees...

    Viofo a119 v2 vs Viofo a119s v2

Sorry, I rarely deal with AliExpress as I live in North America. The shipping times are too long to bare for this side of the world. Although I would be a little concerned that one of the adds shows 96650 instead of 96660.

    Reading Plates - New User

I use VLC player as well. Although there are times where the license plate is illegible, the majority of the time, if you freeze the frame, you can make out the plate on moving vehicles. I also have the A119, although running firmware version 2.

    August Indianapolis area captures

I watched a portion of your video before I came to the realization that you may need a little down time; maybe a relaxing vacation. You're constantly in a hurry for what seems no reason. You mentioned at the beginning of your video that the wide angle lens makes it look like you're travelling...

    Viofo a119 v2 vs Viofo a119s v2

Gave you a vote for the A119. I recently picked one up and I find the video quality to be very good. Just going with what I know. It's also my first dashcam.

Think my installer installed my magic pro box wrong

My truck does the same thing. If there is power draw from a certain circuit, it will shut it down. One way around it is to connect the Yellow wire directly to the battery. There should be at least one grommet in your firewall that will allow access from inside to your car battery. You will...

Think my installer installed my magic pro box wrong

What kind of car do you drive? Can you snap pics of his install? I had a quick look at the setup. There a several things that could cause it to not record, some obvious, some not so much. I'll continue with some questions: 1. Is the red (+ACC) wire connected to an ignition source? 2. Is the...

Driving around downtown Aarhus in Denmark

I watched the whole thing. I enjoy watching distant places. One thing that stood out to me was how well most people dress there. That's definitely not the case here, you see people walk around in pajama bottoms like it's a fashion statement. Maybe we should continue this thread with videos of...

How does the A119 emergency lock function work?

I'll have to look at my footage, gotta say though, I never looked that closely. When I first got it, I just made sure I could read license plates approaching me, that's about it. If someone doesn't give you a response in the meantime, I'll post on my video quality tomorrow. I have to do it at...

    Hot camera

I would suggest running if off the original hardware for a day to see if your camera still heats up. If it doesn't, then you know the problem is with the Mio. There is a difference between 2.4A and 1.5A. The higher the amperage, the hotter a device will run.

    Save data externally

The brand new Innovv is capable of doing that. You can hide the brains up to 5 metres away. I think it's meant for motorcycles or that silly car (my opinion) they have in the demo, but you can make it fit whatever car you're driving for sure.

I just read it; however, I think that's for the power cable, not the video.
