Have you tried the original software just format the sd card in your pc then run the black Vue program on the pc so it updates the sd card then put back into your cam and let it update

I had to format the SD card first getting rid of any time stamped video before setting the time.

cant seem to get the correct time all ready set to London done it 6 hours later reset using time reset program but delete all recorded files first as they are date and timed stamped

Al set up now in the car cant remember how to log in to the 550 on pc as it had lots of adjustments it sees it but cant log in, Can you log into the 500 on pc or is this part of the custom firmware on the 550 as this had lots of adjustments.

Weak point is those sockets and i suppose there is nothing they can do till they bring out a new model.. just needs a socket tht plugs in first then you plug on unplug into that.

Also supports wireless n just tick the box and it's much faster viewing and down loading files with longer range. So far it's great going. well done. sleep now 3.30 in the morning

Don't think you can turn the rear light off but you can turn off the front one. Just tried now The cable to the cam go loose inside the socket that's what I have found and the picture just freeze ,I think the light stays on the back. There is no way you want to keep removing it every day, try...
