Would like to get a consensus on High Endurance vs standard card users

Used to be the case at least with U1 cards. Now there's the Samsung Pro Endurance U1. 64gb went on sale at Amazon recently for $20. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

Would like to get a consensus on High Endurance vs standard card users

I've had a couple of Viofo A119S dashcams for about 2 years now. Before I decided to buy my SD cards, I searched the net on what was best to use. I decided to go w/ high endurance cards (currently using Sandisk and Silicon Power 64gb cards). These were the factors that made me decide: 1) To...

    Do I have significant glare?

More likely those A119S dashcams in the videos have CPL (circular polarizing lens) filter installed. I bought that as well... About $15 or less. Buy the Viofo CPL...not the cheap no name brand sticker kind. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

    Do I have significant glare?

Have a look at this article. I stayed away from Samsung cards cuz it appears they're not suited for write intensive applications such as dashcams (scroll towards the bottom of the article). https://www.carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-sd-cards-avoid-sandisk-ultra-cards I went with 64gb...

If it's an issue with your stock Win 10 player, you can try VLC. It's free. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

    Need advice..mini 0906 or two A119..or other?

I have an A119S for front connected via hard wire kit (very easy installation). I will put another A119S for the rear. I don't have a 12v accessory port in the rear of the car, so I will install dual USB ports at the back. To supply power to these ports, I plan to tap into same red wire that...

Viewing/copying dashcam footage from/to your Android phone

I have a Viofo A119S v2 with GPS module. I hate popping out the SD card or unmounting the dash cam in order to see footage. I really like this dashcam. Only thing missing is wifi file transfer capability. I've used OTG cables before to connect my phone to my DSLR's to transfer photos directly...

    Again... Black boxes with x's

I experienced this once only so far. I contacted the seller and he said just reload v2.1 firmware. I've only had my A119S v2 for about 2 months. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

    Micro SD Cards

Have a look here: https://www.carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-sd-cards-avoid-sandisk-ultra-cards#lightbox/0/ Checkout what Samsung says about using their cards on dashcams. The short of it they say is...don't. I use Silicon Power and SanDisk high endurance 64gb cards. Sent from my...

    Samsung 128gb SD card

Hmm...did a little bit of digging and found this. https://www.carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-sd-cards-avoid-sandisk-ultra-cards#lightbox/0/ Scrolling towards the bottom of that article, a Samsung support person mentioned “Samsung SD Cards and Micro SD Cards are not intended to be used for...

    a119s v1 or v2

My understanding is that the v2 has better mounting contacts for GPS module. v1 contacts get dislodged and when it does, your dash cam loses power. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

Budget Rear Window Dashcam: Viofo A119 or Mobius Lens D

@cheeze out of curiosity, how do you plan on supplying power to your rear dash cam? I have an A119S and am contemplating this issue. At this time, looks like my best option is to use a splice connector to tap on the existing add a circuit I'm using for my front dash cam. Was wondering if there's...

Where and how did you mount rear camera?

It's a Jaguar X-type (or any car in general since I need to do this for a few friends' cars as well). I was thinking that perhaps I can tap into the car's wire harness that plugs into the signal or reverse light since these only turn on when ignition is on. Just need to identify the wire. Sent...

    Dashcam with cloud backup

Unfortunately, no. While the cam is connected via OTG, it behaves like having it connected to a PC. Blue screen is displayed on the A119S and displays "Media Storage". When you disconnect the cable, it starts recording again. Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X using Tapatalk

    Dashcam with cloud backup

This can be done by doing the following: 1) I connected my A119S to my phone via OTG cable. This presented a media folder to my Android phone. This is the OTG cable I used along w/ the USB cable that came w/ the A119S: 2) You can use an Android app similar to "Folder Sync" that will...

Where and how did you mount rear camera?

For those that installed a regular dash cam for the rear, which power source are you using to plug the camera to? I'm trying to locate an ignition switched power source near the rear window, just want to get ideas where to look. Thanks.
