If direct to your fuse box without a volatge reducer or the orignal cigarette lighter plug connected to an adapter means you are giving the camera a full 12 volts. They run on 5 volts You may have fried the camera.

My first video upload from a dash cam. Had the DVR207 for 1 1/2 years, but never had anything worth an upload. Couple of weeks with the SG9665GC and look what happens. Minor prang in front of me. Very minor in the scheme of things, but got to get it up there ;)

Yep was on the later version, rolled back now.

As i bought mine in July, I thought I might check the firmware version. However it seems not obvious how to do that, been through the menus and it does not seem to stand out. Can someone point me in the right direction?

My update was relatively painless in the end. Had an issue with not downloading properly, but sorted that but using Media Creator and downloaded to a USB and installed from that. Once the updated installed have had no problems with any drivers etc.

So if the biker is doing something not right it is alright to deliberately run him into the guardrail and injure or possibly kill him?

If I was having events worth locking/saving I would be downloading and filing at the end of a day. I cant see the point of leaving them on the card? But maybe I am missing something here.

My questIon there is, if you are having all these events why are you leaving them on the card? Would you not want to get the card out to review and save on your computer as soon as you can? You could delete them off the card then.

As you are in Australia, I can call it a Pajero. For our overseas viewers, a Montero :) I have had the dash mat since I bought the Pajero. Means I can throwtuff up there when 4wdriving and it won't slide around too much. The reflection busting properties for the cam are a side benefit .

Well, bought a SG9665GC from Complete Options today. A very quick fit up this afternoonand away we go A big difference to the DVR207 in size :) One quick question, should I have WDR switched on or off?
