Mobius 2 Action/Dash Cam support thread

Alright, I've sent him an email for specifics and will await a response. Do you have any personal preference between the different lenses you've tried?

Mobius 2 Action/Dash Cam support thread

Thanks dashmellow! Those lenses are just what I needed. I'll toy around with the RCA output if I can find those cables, but I'm likely getting the new lens as I think there is something wrong beyond the focus. Do you happen to know the difference between the A and C lens? They both look to be...

Mobius 2 Action/Dash Cam support thread

Can't seem to find any there for the m2, all either have instructions only for an original Mobius, or specifically say they are not for the Mobius 2.

Mobius 2 Action/Dash Cam support thread

Unfortunately, I am back on the forum after sometime without issues. Today I noticed my Mobius2 has failed on me recently, and the video is no longer usable due to the lens being out of focus. I opened up the camera and have adjusted the lens in and out through trial and error to try and get the...

    Mobius replacement

Thanks for the info. What are the current issues with the mobius 2 that make it less recommendable than a standard mobius? Those sample shots look pretty good to me, are they with a beta firmware or is it publicly available? Also, does the mobius 2 take the same capacitor as the original or a...

    Mobius replacement

I have been away from the forum for quite some time, but the recent failure of my mobius brings me back. Unfortunately it is totally dead after about two years or so. It will no longer power up or record, it only gets extremely hot. My question for you all is, should I purchase another Mobuis...

    Dash Cams Vs Bike Cams

Interesting. Didn't know that. I know at least the original HD doesn't have it. I'm surprised they included it as a feature. But that's good for anyone who wants to use one as a dash cam.

    Dash Cams Vs Bike Cams

The gopro although good quality video, is missing a lot of features of a dash cam. If you want a camera to function seamlessly without your intervention than invest in a decent dash cam. Gopros and other sports cams are just that, sport cameras designed to be used to record when wanted and...

Where did you mount the camera? Post your pictures

Also, here is my new rear camera, the 808 #16 V3. Not as stealth as I could have made it, but the install was simple. I may make a bracket to hang it right onto the headliner in the future, but for now this will do.

    Strange motion artifacts.

That's looks to be a promising option, you could probably duplicate it DIY style if you wanted. But its pretty cheap as is and looks made pretty well.

    Strange motion artifacts.

This will be a problem with most cameras that are mounted to a high vibration surface. It has happened to me a few times when I mounted my GoPro on an outboard boat motor. It appears you have enough room to make a tiny isolation device there if need be. However I do not think this will or can be...

    Mobius mounting solutions

That's good to know! Does it remove it and leave a smooth finish, or will there be some etching or chemical melting of the plastic?

    Mobius mounting solutions

Looks great as long as the angle is good and won't need to be adjusted. It may just be the picture but it appears to be looking toward the sky.

How about a non-stealth dash cam?

I've heard or the tracking aspect too. Just another thing for me to hate the government about. Arggggggg. It makes me very angry.

How about a non-stealth dash cam?

Ahhh. That's probably it. I'd still make mine black if I had one, but that makes sense, since their only goal is ensuring the device lasts as long as possible.

How about a non-stealth dash cam?

Somewhat off topic, but I'm surprised people don't paint/ plastidip ez passes black. I personally don't have one because I see no benefit in it and don't want it on my window, but if I were to it would be painted black immediately. I can't stand the giant white boxes everywhere on windows...

Here is my set up. Nearly invisible inside and out unless you really go looking for it.

Where did you mount the camera? Post your pictures

I'm not sure the way around this for you. In my case, my mobius is mounted just below my mirror arm, so if i do put a shade up it sits in the nook in the material designed for the mirror. I'm sure letting the camera cool before turning it on would help, but it is my understanding that with many...

Where did you mount the camera? Post your pictures

Mobius is probably the most discrete you can get, and has simple mounts. Or if the adhesive mount doesn't suit your needs, you can fabricate your own as many have done in the diy section. Also, just as a tip, no dash can or other electronic device should be left in front of a sun shade...
