Not true, the previous version (v2) had loop recording but not auto start! (I have used 2 of the previous versions for over a year now and they work great; only a battery change required so far) It even has a MD option.

I've had a Mobius Lens A since the end of July 2013. Used from -28c to +34c outside temps, no problems so far. Mobius was released at the end of June 2013 fyi.

It will work. The Mobius will only draw the power it needs. BTW 1A is the recommended minimum for power supply, not 500mA.

Auto record with power on is usually set to Off initially, so it shouldn't start recording out of the box with power on and SD card in. But yeah, your way will work with no problems. :)

I first started with the High bit rate but now use Standard. No real difference except increased recording space. I also use a battery pack sometimes when in mall parking lots etc.

I have ordered cables and adapters from eBay vendor "just_for_survive" and would recommend him.

I'm guessing that the only difference would be the cap between the G1W and G1W-C. the body should be identical as well as the mount.

Of course I can't be sure. All I was trying to say is that for parking mode 'High' setting in MD will trigger a lot of false recordings. I have not tried the other 2 settings yet. Not to be critical or anything but the cutting on those cards leaves a bit to desired. :) Ragged edges like that wouldn't pass where I work, but one stop do-it-all printers work differently I suppose. Glad it worked out for you and you are satisfied with the overall look.
