    Viofo HK3 kit fails!

Thank you guys, my camera is finally working after buying the hk3 kit. My question is now is, how do I know if/when parking mode is working? Does it show the red recording light when my car is off? Do I have set hk3 to a certain voltage? Is it safe to set my dashcam to record 24/7? I can...

    Viofo HK3 kit fails!

I just tried to connect my A129 duo, and it keeps shutting off with my older non hk3 kit, could this mean it's not getting enough power? When use the cigarette power, it doesn't seem to shut off? I'm thinking getting the hk3 kit, hopes it would give it enough power but I'm not entirely sure...

    My A129 Plus Duo

Did you get the wifi working? I've read some issues with it, I'm hoping it isolated. Another question, can you use any hardwire kit for the parking mode? or Does it have to be the one from Viofo?

    A118C nearly three years later

There's usually a lifespan on these and it really depends on the area you live in, weather, etc. I've had mines since around June 2015 Spytec A118C and it's still running fine though there is a noticeable white color on the lens probably due to the hot sun. I'm looking for a rear cam but need...

Are dashcam's catching on in America?

Here in the States, it's if you're in public than it's free for all as you have no expectation of privacy while in public. In some states, you have to get permission before audio/video recording as known as a two party consent but I don't think that applies to just driving with a dashcam, it's...

Say Hypothetically, You Get Into an Accident... (You Decide)

I would definitely go with B but not tell the police or at least not yet. I would need time to edit the footage for about a few seconds before the accident, the accident itself and maybe a few seconds after as this is all they need. If the accident was my fault than I would pretend that I...

Are dashcam's catching on in America?

Now as I think of it, I did have a former co-worker who had a dashcam. I remember now that some car manufacturers do make dashcams as some of you guys have mentioned. Stores like Wal-Mart do carry them in the automotive section so I do think it's picking up in popularity but not in the masses...

Are dashcam's catching on in America?

I'm wondering why car manufacturers won't have dashcam's installed into the cars themselves? They already have cams in front of windshield for lane departure, mitigation, etc. I have relatives with dashcam's and haven't seen anyone else with them besides some people talking about it on the...

Are dashcam's catching on in America?

I think dashcam's in America are still kind of a new thing even though I feel it's catching on a bit. I just saw an episode of The People's Court, where a dashcam was used as evidence, however it was actually used against the plaintiff in a car accident. I felt the plaintiff should've known...

Dual Dash Cam for Girlfriend driving Uber?

I just posted something about this and I just saw this =). Form factor, mounting and discrete are really important things I would consider. I don't think suction cup is going to cut it as it keeps falling off at least on my windshield. What I like best is the a118c form factor because it's...

What's the best dashcam with dual camera's?

I'm looking for a dashcam with dual camera's, meaning one facing forward and one facing inward towards the interior of the car. I'm concerned about how easy is it for a dashcam to mount to the windshield. I have a spytech a118c and those are easy to mount due to the strong adhesive and design...

Is it important to have a dashcam facing inwards towards the driver/passenger?

Hi, I was wondering if it was important to have a inward facing dashcam towards the driver/passengers? I just recently saw on the news that an Uber driver was attacked and he did have a dashcam, however he had to manually turn it to face inwards towards him and the aggressive passenger. I was...

    Radio interference

I've had issues with radio interference and for me it was using a usb cable instead of the cigarette lighter cable that solved the issue. I've hardwired my dashcam now so I don't have that issue anymore.

What do you think about Police dashcams?

I think police dashcams are built into the car so it's very expensive and are tied into other components. Here is the first police chase on dashcam back in 1988. Also could this be the VERY FIRST dashcam footage ever?

How to hide the dash cam in windshield and what to put in rear windshield

Did you have to buy another hardwire kit for the rear? I just hardwired my front dashcam and planning on a rear, however I'll need to think on how I would route that. The mobius and A118C are great choices for use in the rear. Good luck!!!

What do you think about Police dashcams?

Hello, I've been wondering what kind of dashcam police use and did some research. It turns out police first starting using dashcams since the 1970's than the 80's with VCR's on VHS tapes. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any footage from the 70's. I think they used a tripod with a...
