Mine freezes occasionally on power up too. Loud noise and no way to turn it off. I don't think it is the memory card. What has been suggested is ejecting the memory card and holding down the power switch. Not sure if this works... I reported same in the bug thread.

Thanks Rayman, will try that next time it happens. Unfortunately, its a real class 10 Sandisk card, not a fake. :-(

The reset function does not work. That's why I'm reporting the bug. ;-)

There's no reset. Holding the power button does not work. Card is a genuine Sandisk class 10 32GB card.

Mini 0803 purchased from eprance Firmware 0510v1 Bug: occasionally upon startup camera freezes on boot up picture, beeps continuously and becomes unresponsive. The only way to resolve is to wait until the battery dies and then reboot.

Updated my eprance model I got a month ago. GPS, no internal memory. Works!

Rayman indicated the fuzziness was the result of limitations with the image sensor. I predict the "final production" 0803's will have the exact same performance and problems. Time will tell.

The version jokiin sent me worked where as the one on your site @tobias did not. Unsure why. The v3 firmware does limit resolution to 1080p as reported. I have yet to compare footage to see if the IQ is improved. Thanks for maintaining the firmware repo.

Thanks jokiin. Another reason may be that that firmware file is corrupt. I get the black update screen, choose yes and then the update fails. Do you have another version that I could try, or perhaps the final version (if it exisits) that current models are shipping with?

Camera shipped with 20140326 v1.0 or similar. I updated it to 20140422 v1.0, with E-PRANCE boot logo, last night. I have GPS with no internal memory. dp

Tried 20140424 and update failed. Tried 20140422 - e-prance logo. Working. Night WDR still broken - can not read any license plates.

Kelvin, what firmware ships with your cameras? Do you have the firmware.bin file you can post?

I get the update failed message. On reboot the camera is in a frozen state with a constant chirping sound. Once the battery dies it starts up ok with the old firmware. Help please!

Easy to solve if hardware is clearly labeled/identified. 0803A, 0803B, etc. What's changing in the hardware?

Hi Kelvin, There aren't any 'fake' 0803's. Yet. The ones currently available are pre-release models meant for testing. They may have "1080p" silk screened on them and use a slightly different lens, but they are otherwise identical.

Thanks for your insights jokiin. Do you know what's different about the lens? I recall reading that various vendors could choose different lens options - Mine has the micro USB on both the GPS mount and the camera. BTW, Are you here in Sydney?

Is there a repo for all firmwares? Also, any known hardware changes between the model I have and the future production ones? (other than the 1080P silkscreen). Some have commented that e-prance is selling fake ones - I don' think this is the case as it definitely has all of the right bits inside.
