    A129 Pro firmware

Can someone tell me what if any updates there are to Parking Mode?

    A129 Pro firmware

Looks good, but perhaps you need to adjust your lens upwards now? Seems it'll be a bit more tight to catch the traffic signal in 21:9

Need mounting tape for rear camera

I tried this on my rear camera, call it a velcro on steroids. It works well on non-sticky surfaces, but not so much when I stuck it on the black adhesive tape that was already on the cam. The advantage is what velcro provides, allowing the cam to be removed and adjusted if needed. Just something...

    A129 Pro firmware

Do you say this with some input from Viofo, or in an unofficial capacity?

    A129 Pro firmware

OK, would be curious to see what changes are introduced to motion detection. It's not just about being an eyesore, it's also the fact that the cam is constantly working and writing to the card and consuming power. Add this to the extreme heat in summer and it adds to the wear and tear of the...

    A129 Pro firmware

Hi @viofo, @VIOFO-Support can you please confirm we can expect this feature in the new firmware release?

Camera keeps switching from Parking Mode to Driving Mode while parked AT NIGHT.

I was under the impression the cam will also enter parking mode if no GPS movement (i.e. motion) is detected for 5 minutes?

Anyone elses A129 Pro turns off during parking mode?

Been using a 256GB standard Samsung Evo Select (green) card for over 3 months now no problem. Also I read that Viofo A129 PRO will accept 512GB cards as well (look for another thread in this forum) so you might wanna try that. Larger the capacity, lesser the rewrites, longer the card lasts.

    A129 Pro firmware

What is the difference in the two? Is there a changelog we can refer?

    A129 Pro firmware

Oh I see, will definitely try and report back.

    A129 Pro firmware

It would be interesting to see the sensitivity or lack thereof in person. Covering the lens is a good idea but not very feasible to do every time, also when the rear camera has to be fixed to the car leaving little room.

    A129 Pro firmware

@viofo Need an option to have parking mode based only on G-sensor, meaning an option to turn "Parking mode motion detection = OFF". Too many files are created due to motion detection in parking mode, sometimes showing only pedestrians and tree movement.

    What about Beaudens B-1502?

I recently purchased this so any questions, please feel free to ask, peeps. In short, this battery is absolutely worth its money. I've been running parking mode for 2-3 hours every day for couple of days now, without having to recharge it (it dropped by only 1 bar out of 5).

Parking mode event driven only by G-Sensor

100% support this to be added as an enhancement to upcoming firmware. I am having to sift through hundreds of unneeded video files showing moving trees or a moving car or pedestrian.

Need A Better Dash Cam After Car Being Hit On Christmas Eve

Well, it supports pass-through charging for smaller devices (I do believe dashcams are inclusive) so you could theoretically charge it using the cigarette port while driving around. However that is slower so I prefer bringing it home and charging it in 4-5 hours over AC. Sucks that it's nearly...

Need A Better Dash Cam After Car Being Hit On Christmas Eve

Is this true? WOW! I need to give it a try. I have their October 2019 firmware.

Can 500 GB be used in A129 Pro?

    Is it recognized as 512GB?

Need A Better Dash Cam After Car Being Hit On Christmas Eve

I am of the opinion that dashcam power should be completely independent of the car battery, hence I got a cheap LiFePO4 battery from Amazon for ~$90 () and from my initial testing am pleased with the results. It is rated for 166Wh which means it can go for days recording intermittent events. I...

    What about Beaudens B-1502?

@Rhinox were you able to make your dashcam work with the Beaudens? Does it work with parking mode? I'm considering it over the Cellink Neo for its cost effectiveness, also for the fact that I'm not inclined to hardwire my dashcam to the car.
