Can you use a power supply inside your home? You don't say much about your "power sources" in your vehicle. Are you sure they're live? Have you used a volt meter to test the connections and verify they're connected right?

Where is the unit located? Is it mounted in your car? If it is have you tried a higher elevation? Park on some hill and wait awhile to see if it locks on.

What laptop has video in to match the video out of the camera? I use a $35 7" monitor.

Re: Lukas LK-7900 Ace Review (With Sample Day and Night Vide I use my lighter socket for two cameras, a GPS and a 7" monitor with never a volt/current problem. A lot less a problem than some butt smoker using the ash tray all the time.

First you have to make sure your lens is clean and then move on to the windshield. Then you have to drive around making sure you do so to end up with a sample of video clips that from every lighting angle. North, east, south and west. Then carefully review everything.

I notice they are now including audio/video cables and an extra plastic mount. Nice.

Have you compared your videos with others on YouTube?

I didn't go for discrete. I went for "let them all know" as to advertise that I am recording those I have to deal with on that crazy drive home each night. Let them think about it before they decide to drive in the space already occupied by me. I was thinking of placing a monitor in my rear deck...

Only until you get used to the way they work. It takes a twist just before you finally have the camera out.

All in all I think it would save much time and trouble to simply install additional LUKAS mounts in each car. I have several just for spares or if I decide to install one of my LK-7900 cameras in another vehicle. I plan on taking one on vacation to Jamaica next month.

:lol: Great news. I guess you will be getting a new power supply for those bench tests then. I have several that have been proven to work and are very handy. At least we all learned something here. We now know what a LUKAS does when it not getting the power it needs.
