Where does Mobius get it time stamp info?

We just had an accident, and my file is 5 years off. Is this a problem for insurance people, or do they know this is common? Can I fix the time stamp somehow before I hand it over to insurance people?

    Mobius mounting solutions

Yes it is. But as mentioned, my mount fell off several times due to the California heat. The sticker remained on the windshield. So apparently the other side didn't bond well with the plate. So I've removed the 3M that Scosche uses. Cleaned it up, and used Sugru to stick the plate to my...

    Mobius mounting solutions

MRM, I just sugru-ed my Scosche back on the windshield. We'll see how it works out. If it is indeed temperature resistant as it claims (-50 to +180 Celcius), then this should work, and actually opens the door to a whole new world. I started thinking, you're not limited to the Scosche model. You...

I decided to use the Sugru. I'll let you know how it goes. Could be an option instead of those rearview pads.

    Mobius mounting solutions

Never heard of Sugru. Just watched a few youtube videos on it. It says it's resistant to -50 to +180 Celsius. If that's true, that should take care of the car heat issue. You just keep introducing me to great stuff. :)

    Mobius mounting solutions

MRM, I'm surprised this solution hasn't been discussed more often here. I think it's the best. I went with your recommendation for my mobius. However, out here in Southern California, unfortunately it will not survive the heat. It has fallen off several times now. The sticker remains on the...

Audio static, crackling sounds... Is it normal?

Where do you clip on the ferrite cores? Near the end of the mini connection side?

Audio static, crackling sounds... Is it normal?

Thanks for the advice! So it's most likely not defective units, right? That's my only real concern. The static is okay, I will probably not record audio anyway. This is the USB I'm using: This is the cable I'm using: I'll try the mono price you suggested too.

Audio static, crackling sounds... Is it normal?

Hey Guys, so I've been toying with THREE Mobius devices. They all give me some sort of static whether my radio is on or off. I'm not sure, but I think it also correlates with speed. The faster I go, the more static. Audio is fine, I can hear my audio recording perfectly. But the static is...

    Mobius mounting solutions

When you put the magnetic plate inside, did you remove the protective sticker to adhere it? Or, did you do nothing and simply placed it inside? I'm trying to figure out how you can stick it inside. You can't, right? The side with the sticky glue would stick to the electrical components, wouldn't...

    Happy with the 0803?

Don't own any dash cams yet, but doing my research. Just wanted to comment that I really like this design where the usb power is connected to a separate base. I assume the idea is that you can detach the cam without worrying about detaching usb cable too. Good for people who want to remove cam...

    Mobius Super Capacitor.

Hey guys, if you set the Mobius and the OG battery to turn off when the engine shuts off, then what's the purpose of this capacitor? Both kinds of battery will shut off when the engine is off. So what makes the capacitor better? Please advise, thank you.

Where did you mount the camera? Post your pictures

Other than thieves wanting to steal gadgets, what other reasons would you want to hide your dash cam? You don't want people to know that you're recording them? Etiquette? If I get a dash cam, I'm thinking of Mobius. It's already inconspicuous, but is it necessary to make it totally hidden...

Are real dash cams less shaky than dash-phones?

Well, iphone apps sucks in my research. But there are good ones for Android. No need to turn on manually. They work like real dash cams. Once car starts, app and camera starts. Loop recording and all. But I'm re-thinking if I really want a gigantic Galaxy Note on my Dash when I'm away from my...

Are real dash cams less shaky than dash-phones?

Wow, thanks for responses. The last action in this TOPIC forum was in July 26, so I'm pleasantly surprised I'm getting responses just minutes after posting. I do errands and don't do long commutes, so I'm hoping overheating won't be an issue. The phone is a spare, so there won't be any setting...

Are real dash cams less shaky than dash-phones?

I'm deciding whether or not to buy a dashcam, or use a spare smartphone like a Galaxy Note. I just want to know do manufactures do anything different with dashcams that makes them innately less shaky? Or, are they just as prone to shaky videos as smartphones? So whether we use a dashcam or...
