Software to export LK-7900 video with Google Maps

It plays the videos fine but doesn't recognize the GPS tracks. I've e-mailed the developer but he wasn't helpful. Also, it looks like the software has been purchased by Datakam.

    Lukas died again

Before blaming the camera, try using a different SD card first.

Software to export LK-7900 video with Google Maps

I've tried that and it doesn't work. The software doesn't recognize the folder structure of the LK-7900. Can somebody with a 7300 tell us what the folder names are?

Software to export LK-7900 video with Google Maps

It's a shame LK-7900 users don't have that now. Hopefully Lukas will fix it in the next update.

Software to export LK-7900 video with Google Maps

Problem is you can't resize the Lukas Viewer. Once you maximize the window, the map disappears. I was also looking for a faster way to do it.

    Dash Cam Reviewers

I'm throwing my hat in the ring. I'm using a Lukas LK-7900 (check my review here) in front and a Mobius at the back. If given a choice, I'd like to be able to review higher-end cameras, preferably with GPS. I'm thinking of buying an Eeyelog E750 for my third dashboard camera once it becomes...

mixed feelings about my new lk-7900 ace (video sample inside)

I have been using mine for nine months now and haven't experienced any serious problems. One thing to note is that a portion of the frame becomes soft when the unit is running hot, for instance when you leave it under the sun. For optimum image quality, try 1 level up for brightness, and 1 level...

Thank you for your effort. Hopefully I won't need this soon.

question on voltage output (cigarette lighter vs fusebox) and LK-530 operation

I used my LK-7900 and the LK-530 in someone else's car once by plugging it in the cigarette lighter socket. The LK-530 did not display the "charging" status but it was actually being charged -- after a few hours of driving, the battery pack was fully charged.

LK-290 necessary if you have LK-530?

The LK-530 is also a cutoff device so you don't need the LK-290.

Hot weather: which dashcams can handle it and which can't?

The LK-7900 will continue to work under hot tolerable weather, but the video may suffer from softness or some areas not being in focus. Sent from my Galaxy Note

    Disassembling LK-7900

Thanks for this. Tell us if you managed to focus it properly. Unfortunately, it's difficult to achieve acceptable sharpness using hyperfocal distance without indicators on the lens, just like on vintage camera lenses. Hopefully, I won't have to do this in the future.

Lens APERTURE F1.6 vs F2.8 ? Mobius vs LS300W vs Panorama2 Panorama II

I don't trust the F1.6 aperture that the Mobius claims to have, given its poor low-light performance.

Need another dashcam (70°c / capacitor charge)

The Mobius beats the LK-7900 hands down for daytime use image quality-wise because of its high bit rate. At night, the Mobius is pretty much useless.

Need another dashcam (70°c / capacitor charge)

I use a Mobius with a built-in battery as a rear camera under the Philippine heat without problems. But then, my air-con is always on. No need to modify anything.
