That's good. I presume your piggy backing onto fuses in your fuse box, so when you say you have switched fuses then you have probably landed on a circuit that acts the way you need it to. It took a fair bit of checking on mine to find permanent live and ignition live.

The fuse rating won't affect the operation, and the Red ACC wire should be not receive power until the engine is started (according to PP manual, but I have mine connected to interior lights which come on when engine isn't running). So probably best to check when that wire is getting power...

If your PM is not powered on when you expect it to be, its because either you battery has dropped to the voltage cut off of 12v, or you have wired it into a circuit that is not permanently live, i.e. it's a delayed sleep, the vehicle may power that circuit down 10 mins after being locked, or...

Hi, I upgraded the firmware on this to version 1.004 from 1.003 and discovered the bitrate halved. I have tried restoring the old firmware but the device just says something like error zero one, wipes the sd card and restores 1.004 to the card. Is it possible to downgrade back to v1.003 ? Cheers.
