I have had the 0803 cam since they came on the market and it really gave me little or no issues ( Just initial setup and best firmware ) Since then it worked superb.
Recently ( over the past few months ) I would notice it would be after switching off without me noticing. I would press the power button and all seemed to be good again.
But over the past few weeks I am paying careful attention to it and notice it only stays powered on for a few minuted and then power itself down, Press power button and the same thing happens/
Should I assume it is time to replace it?
I have checked power supply etc and all is as it should be.

Thanks for any advice.

Probably just needs a new battery.

The batteries can be replaced if you have the ability to disassemble it with great care, however cameras have improved significantly since that was new so maybe it is time to think about a new one.

Take a look through: https://dashcamtalk.com/best-dash-cams-of-2018/ , even the cheapest in there, the B1W is significantly better than an 0803, and doesn't have a battery to fail after a couple of years.

Also possible that you have worn out the memory card, have you checked the video recently, or tried an alternative card?

Bought the B1W
Thank you.
