Unfortunately my car appears to have no switching fuses, but the 12V cigarette sockets all appear to turn off a few moments after ignition off. So, as I'm already plugging into the rear socket I'm going to tap into the wiring here instead to use as the switching circuit and the secondary fuse box just underneath for the permanently live.

But I've noticed that although anything plugged into this 12V socket powers down and the power light on the cigarette adapter goes out, it still reads 7V after dropping from 12V. I've not checked to see if this drops to zero when the car goes to sleep after about 10 minutes, but if not is the drop to 7V enough for the Vico Battery Protect to treat as a switching circuit?
