I got a LS460W about 2 weeks ago... Not greatly impressed. I'm not fully sure if the focus issue still exists but the image quality is not what I would expect.. I think due to what others have said here involving exposure time... To be fair US license plates are small compared to those in the rest of the world but they should at least be readable up close which they are not. You have to pretty much be on top of the car to read the plate clearly. Camera build date is 03/2015 and version is HG1503040EN12 / 13E00ECA00A01. I believe I will be send this thing back and ordering a Street Guardian SGZC12SG unless there is something better worth holding out for.

@Jason H, >> Street Guardian SGZC12SG vs LS460W

Street Guardian SGZC12SG Pros:
+ Built-in Super Capacitors
+ support SD cards up to 512GB in exFAT (DOD need FAT32 up to 128GB)
+ CPL filter can be easily attached (very useful)
+ plenty of accessories included in box (reader, CPL, 3m mount, stick)
+ very loud speaker (good quality)
+ Sony Exmor IMX322L with WDR

cons:
- touch screen is not good idea (but most important buttons are still there)
- Housing Quality
- 1Hz GPS (DOD has 5Hz)
- Navigation buttons backlight is always stays ON (impossible to switch this off)
- Unable to change EV Value (impossible to catch fast moving object sharp if is not exposed under strong light) see below:
