2ch Sony Exmor 1080p/30fps + 720p/30fps GPS BlackSys CF-100

Hi. How is this compared to Lukas LK-7900? I have watched a few videos on YouTube, and I can't really put them apart. They both use the 2MP Sony Exmor Cmos Sensor? The BlackSys CF-100 seems to have slightly less scattering light from the dash, but I have seen some scattering on that one also. The CPL filter on LK-7900 removes most of this I guess, but this creates some or a lot vignette effect around the edges? Rear camera is not that important to me, so I guess the LK-7900 has some advantage with more storage, battery/less power , CPL filter and better/easier english Viewer?

At the moment it would be unfair ( not right ) to judge aether of them. After many years buying "good stuff on the paper", - now I do believe ONLY in real life face to face tests and non of the specs on the paper can tell which one is better ( If we comparing two similar price-range and similar specs dash cams from different companies ).

I might do soon test on this dash camera ( within this month ). Now dont have much free time. Keep eye on forum.

179usd incl Free Shipping BlackSys CF-100 now available as 1ch ( single ) dashcamera from "shpkorea", - Official BlackSys distributor.

Thread resurrection :)

I bought my 2ch CF-100 from ojocam. Shipping was quick and at the time there was a %20 off coupon.

I am happy with it considering the price. I did notice some video quality issues here and there like pixalated areas of sky on the front camera and rear quality is not super great but good enough for my purposes. One thing I noticed is that if the rear camera gets a direct hit of sun, it whites out the screen for a second. I tilted the camera downwards a bit to capture less of the sky and that has helped. I am running about 60/40 now on road/horizon.

I did recently install the latest firmware and it has improved the video for sure.

I am about to move this camera to my Wife's car and might try out the CL-100B next.

Any idea if the parking mode/motion detection works on the rear camera as well as the front camera on the blacksys?

Hmmm, I have not used that feature as I just leave the camera recording all the time when parked. I am thinking no but it would be interesting to try. I will try to test this and report.

Hello guys.
I'm on the market for a new dash cam and was ready to order Panarama S, but I got rear ended today and due to the intersection layout and traffic conditions the idiot that rear ended me took off and got away, so now I'm looking for a 2 channel dash cam.
The only issue I have with CF-100 that it's missing a display. I prefer to see what I record and in case if something is wrong with the camera or card it's easier to see what's going on.
So, do you still think 2-ch CF-100 worth $250?
I need small, reliable camera with display and the best possible quality of the picture for the $$$ and can spend up to...$300 or so.
Any recommendations?
How about one of these?

Newegg has the 2ch on sale for $199.

@ best possible quality of the picture, with capacitors inside for full parking mode you dont get for 300$. The only high-end 2ch I can reccommend now is Finevu CR-2000S cost around 450usd, but form-factor is not exactly what I like, maybe its ok for you?

If you dont need parking mode, then there are new gen A7LA70D CPU based 2ch 1080p with battery inside for around 200-250$ Cinese made, but they dont have parking mode.

Why limit your choice to a 2 channel dash cam when you can achieve the result you seek with 2 separate cams? How about 2 of the A118 from FoxOffer...

$140 total outlay. Discreet form factor. Easy to mount. Good video quality. Threads...

I have had dashcams with and without an LCD screen. IMHO, a screen is not necessary and you will most likely never use it. My CF-100 has been ultra reliable and if the record light is on, it is recording and I trust it. I am using a dash cam as intended now, install it and forget about it. Every once in awhile if I record something good, I will pull the card out and put it on youtube. Otherwise, it is just part of the car and I pay it no mind and it is just there to be my witness in the event of a collision. You could do separate cameras on the cheap but the CF-100 is a pretty polished kit.

I have CF-100 since sept 2013. For FullHD - HD its a good dashcam. Very simple to use. Does what what its meant to do. Advantage is that its based on supercaps and have 24/7 parking mode with 10 sec buffer.
If need, can connect to external display via AV out.

I understand that $250 wont buy me a "the best of the best", but even though I probably can push my budget to $300+, $450 is way out of my league.
Considering (thank to Dolesun) that I can get CF-100 for $200, I'm gonna pull the trigger, unless I'll find something else with a better picture for below $300 .

Thanks a lot, now I like CF-100 even better. :)
Price per value is very good, but of course it can not compete with 2x higher priced Finevu cr-2000s or some new gen Chinese 2ch full-hd.

yes, you can get 2ch better picture for same money but it will be Chinese made , lower built quality, with batteries ( which brings some aditional risks ) and no 24/7 parking mode.

Running a 2ch setup is nice because it is only one memory card and one power supply to deal with. I have mine wired to the fuse box with a control switch box/car battery discharge protector I got from BlackVue. This way I can decide if i want to leave the camera on when parking in sketchy areas.

For your first dashcam and at $200, the CF-100 will work well for you. The vendor continues to release new firmware updates and I have received timely email responses from their sales/support person.

Ojocam has shipped both my orders quickly.

I would not call the front camera stealthy but I painted over the white lettering on the front. Now what to do to dull the chrome bezel...
