Hi Guys,

New poster, please be gentle.

I have just installed a 312GW with a permanently powered hardwire. I have enabled parking mode.

I have an issue where the camera is constantly recording, even when I am out of the car for hours at a time. I have looked through the manual for the 312GW and can see that parking mode will only activate standby once the power input is switched off. How can I get this to work correctly with a hardwire? I don't want the camera recording all the time as I would want any videos captured in parking mode to be kept at least so I can see them if any damage is done to my car.

Is there a way to get the parking mode to stop recording after no movement is detected for a period of 3 minutes like I have seen on other nextbase cameras?

I believe that parking mode is designed to work off the internal battery, so wire it to an ignition switched supply.

It seems like this is the case with the 312gw.
I have switched the fuse tap to a fuse that is apparently ignition switched. I will see in the morning if the camera had been recording all night again
