312gw won’t charge when connected to screen mount!

I’ve been using my 312gw for 18 months with satisfactory results in both my own car, where it’s hard wired, and when using rental vehicles, when it’s powered through via the power/cigarette lighter socket. It has suddenly stopped charging when connected through the screen mounts (I have more than one screen mount & power leading) although it switches on and off with the ignition switch, but it does charge when the power lead connects directly into the camera. Any solutions?

Either the port in the mount isn't working or the connection between the Dash Cam and the mount.

Is there any grease/debris on the gold connectors on the Dash Cam side?
