380gw problems

I have a NEXTBase 380gw that keeps saying the sim card needs formatting and I have always had trouble connecting the dashcam to my phone on wi-fi, any suggestions?

If you cannot format the card via the app, you could remove the card and open it on your computer in a card reader, and simply delete the files. This is not as good as formatting but will free up the space.

Try re-installing the app and try to pair the app and the phone again. You could also reset the camera via the reset button and start afresh, to see if that allows you to access the app as well.

What type/size/manufacture is the SD card please?

I'd recommend re-setting the 380GW to default settings, then re-connecting to the app from scratch.

Your issue could be that the card has been formatted to the wrong format.

Check that it's FAT32 or even deleting files won't help.


Given that you have WiFi issues then I assume this is Smartphone related. If so then connect your 380 to your phone USB wall charger. That will fire up the cam like it's in the car and you can try the format and WiFi connect from the comfort of your armchair.
