422GW after update camera will not record

Hi all, I got an issue with my Nextbase 422GW, like you all on this forum. After update R30.9, the camera will not record past one second or sometimes after one full clip.

A little about my setup. I got the camera hard-wired to my car, I do not remember what fuse, but I recall it was so the camera turns on stage one of a turn of the car key. I do also have the rear camera and use it. Memory card wise, I have a Sandisk Extreme 128gb U3. This memory card had worked on the previous firmware. As long as I am of the opinion that no matter what make the memory car is, as long as the parameters are in line with the camera requirements, I really hope I do not have to buy a Nextbase memory card to fix my camera.

What have I tried so far to fix my 422GW. I have, reset user settings, used the camera to format memory card, tried to update the camera via my phone once paired, that did not work so, I plugged my camera to my desk top and updated it with the two files from the updated PDF file. I tried both, the power-in on the camera itself and the one on the camera mount. The best I got was one clip of 3 minutes to record. The next clip would not start to record, even when I tried pressing the record button on scree.

I want it to be that I have done some thing wrong and I want to avoid buying a new camera, or worse, not going with Nextbase if every update will look like above. So, I want to try and see if there is anybody that can point me to a link with an older firmware or who knows the solution or point me in the right direction.

A month late but try this...delete the app from your phone. It really has been for a few years, an appalingly written piece of software, to the point where the blutooth actually crashes the camera. Always takes ages to connect, generally no connection is made. Do your updates via a PC and settings via the small camera screen. I don't think they're are too many issues with the firmware but do follow the step by step instructions carefully. I you want older firmware, Nextbase will send you a link for it...I'm running 25.2 without problems. You mention you're hard wired into your car. You need to know if you're on permanat or switched live. Permanant, make sure "parking mode" is ON, swiched, "parking mode" should be off. The other issue could be the battery inside the camera, they last a couple of years and once unable to hold a charge, need replacing.

Hi Phil, I have tried a new install via PC. I had parking mode off and rear camera disconnected. The camera work for the first trip. The issue came back with the second trip. At this point I would like to try 25.2 if you could send it over please.

Just make sure the app is unistalled from your phone, even if is on there but not being used, the camera might try to connect to it and this can cause a problem. Let me know how it goes. If you DM me, I'll send you a link as the firmware file is too large to send as an attachment.
