512G Dash Cam not playing videos

i got the 512G Next Base dash cam to record my driving in case for emergencies and after linking it to my computer it says: This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt.
i tried playing the same videos on several other media players but they don't play

is there a way to check if there's a problem with the memory card/device?
