512GW only recording 20(ish) second clips

My girlfriends dashcam is only recording 20 or so second clips before the recording timer pauses and stops recording shortly before starting again (for another 20 seconds).

Not sure what's wrong with it, she's only had it a month and the firmware is up to date. The screen still shows the time and live video so its not freezing the whole camera but the menus are slow to navigate (delay between pressing buttons).

I have the same camera and mine has been fine for months.

Is there a way to reset the camera to factory then update it again? Any advice is welcome.

28.67Gb used on a 30.13Gb card.

Format the card would be my first plan of action and get some space back.

Whilst the cam 'should' overwrite older files if a lot of them are protected it may have an issue ?

That's a good shout. I know she's had the parking mode turned on so it might be full of protected files.

I'll take a look tonight. Will post back what I find.
