you need to examine/ test that memory card in another device like a computer, what kind of card is it and where did you get it from.
A good little free memory card test program are called H2testw, allow it to examine the whole memory space not just what ever must be empty.

Fake cards abound and low-quality cards will not work in dashcams. Which card do you have and what size is it? Do test it with the "h21testw" freeeware anyway doing a full overwrite, and if the reported size isn't very close to the advertised size you've got a fake card. The program defaults to the German language but has an English option once you start running it. Based on card size and your computer's speed it may take some time for the process to be completed.
