I've recently been spending time testing out the 70mai 4K Omni X800, a rotating 360° dashcam that I've been wanting to try out for a while. I specifically wanted to test out its rotating and tracking capabilities to see how it compares to other 360° styles. This one seems pretty cool, but I found some issues with how well it can reliably capture all around the vehicle. Here's my review focusing on the spinning and tracking of the 4K Omni.

Nice review Ariel, points out all the pros and cons of this camera. Have found the same in my own testing, I do find it a very nice all in one solution with the 4G kit - even despite it's shortcomings.

To be fair, 70mai was showing glimpses last year of getting better and better with their dashcams, and it looks like they're building on that now with their newer releases. They never used to be the best at firmware updates either, so to see them work continuously even now after launch with the 4K Omni, bodes well for the future. They just need to fix a few things and they'll be one of the best around.

Yeah they seem to be a pretty strong up and comer. At the rate they’re going, I agree they could be a strong contender at some point.

360° seems to be the trend now.
