I have found that if I play back recorded video files using Windows Media Player I don't hear the audio track. Audio plays fine using VLC or Quick Time.

The 70mai saves videos in MOV format (created by Apple) which is no longer supported by Microsoft (MOVs still play on some versions of Media Player, but iffy, and may play only audio or only video). There are some 3rd party codecs available but you're better off just using a different player.
 
I've switched my default player to VLC. I just thought my post may have been useful to others who may have thought they had a problem with their dashcam.
