A118-C Video Artifacting issues

Hi all,

I picked up the A118-C AutoVox model from Amazon, but having some issues with the video output.
I've tried three different micro SD cards (different sizes and manufacturers including a decent named brand), but all come out with video recordings like this:

I thought it might be my playback codecs, but I've tried Media Player, VLC, and installed the K-Lite Codec pack - nothing makes a difference. Any ideas what might be causing it?

the Auto-Vox model is not an A118, it's a copy, better to send it back if you have that option
