After years of my previous design working well. I decided to change to a new design due to the fact that Discount tire would always hit the camera when placing my tires back in the hatch....

The new design mounts directly to the hatch and works even better for visibility!

------ OLDER ADAPTER BELOW --------

Just got my A119s. Printed adapter for the rear hatch of my mazda 3. Fits perfectly.

Here is the STL file to 3d print for those who can benefit from this mount.

Edit* This will also fit A118 / SG9665gc

This looks amazing. I thought that the A119 and the A118 had different sized mounts though, is it just the width of them? I moved my A118 devices to the back in both vehicles, and in one I am using magnets to secure it as I didn't want to use adhesive to the headliner fabric. In the other vehicle I just am using the regular mount and adhesive, but this would be better and as I'd also like to angle it down more.

Can you double confirm it will work with the A118? I assume you tested it with your SG9665GC, but just want to be sure. Like I said, maybe the bases aren't compatible due to the shape, but not the mounting lock thingy.

The measurements in the locking part are extremely close between the 118 body and the 119. The primary difference between the 119 and 118 being the a119 has an indented area that is surrounded on all 4 sides (for the gps mount) whereas the a118 leaves the back open for the mount to slide in.

Hot damn. I'll ask my buddy to print 2. Thanks!

There is a large community of 3d printing services out there. They would be local to you and probably faster than me.

Upload the stl file and you'll get an instant quote.
All measurements are in mm.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Oh, make sure the type of plastic you request it printed in is PETG because it has a higher tolerance for heat. Abs is also an alternative but it tends to shrink a bit. Do not print in pla.

Thanks again. I knew that PLA wouldn't work because of it's intolerance to heat.

I tried the A119S non-GPS mounts in the A118C and it was loose, I perhaps because the surface isn't solid, so no friction on it. Have you tried mounting your A118/SG9665gc in your creation? Also, do you know if PETG deals well with cold if it gets hit a bit? I'd hate to break it in the cold when taking something out of the vehicle if I knock the camera a bit.

It was holding my sg9665gc before the a119. Nice and snug as long as the printer has correct calibrations.
Petg is quite strong and is more flexible than abs.

Any plastic is brittle in freezing weather.
, no guarantees for those conditions.

Here is the SG9665gc snugly attached.
