My side system the K2S have the GPS connected / GPS disconnected voice announcement.
TBH i think it is a bit much and in my book one of the unwanted "noises" from a dashcam.

I agree about unwanted noises, I wish I could have disabled voice notifications on my ex-wife. lol

Are there any other Voice Notifications that I missed?

There is one for external microphone plugged in, although it is not possible to plug one in on the A119 Mini, you need an A139 or A229 for that one.

I was taking some more test footage today with the new firmware 20220621.
Check out the difference with, and without the CPL Filter. WOW!
I love this thing. lol

I took one lap with the CPL Filter Installed.
And a second lap with the CPL Filter off.
I’ll do the same after the sun sets to get night time footage.

Not much other you can do if you do not have 2 similar systems to compare in one go.
On a clear skies day or what ever night, that should also be just fine

For me though there are just 1 option, and that is with CPL

I just filmed more test footage with the new firmware 20220621.
I’m really impressed with the CPL Filter at night.
It only makes it slightly darker.

What improvements would you like to see on the next generation A119 Mini?
I can’t think of anything good, so I just have “fantasy nitpicks”. lol

1.) No LCD Screen
Now with super fast 5GHz Wi-Fi the screen is unnecessary, plus my aging eyes find the 1.5” LCD too small anyway. lol

2.) Longer Power Cable
Increase length from 12ft to 15ft for those that buy two units, and use one as a rear channel.

3.) Include a “starter” small capacity SD Card for testing & diagnostic purpose.
Because reasons. lol

4.) Relocate GPS module inside main camera housing like the T130.
This is for my own selfish benefit, so I don’t have to buy additional GPS Mounts to use the camera in different cars, or a rental. lol

But I can only find youtube videos pertaining to still photography, or cinema photography nothing about dash cams.
Could you point me in the right direction?

Well STARVIS 2 is what we know as HDR, it takes two exposures and combines the two into a frame. The difference to current HDR is that the two exposures are collected simultaneously instead of sequentially, so there is no movement between exposures, no double exposure, no ghosting.

In reality, I'm not convinced it will be a huge improvement since there will still be motion blur during the exposure, but there is a possibility of a significant improvement over current HDR, we will have to wait and judge the results when it becomes available.

Next gen starvis sensors.. we have first gen.. 2nd gen is better.

That is a good description, hard to say much more than that and be accurate about it!

Hey guys,
I just got my A119 Mini from the mailbox a few minutes ago.
I'm so excited to begin testing.
So far my initial impression is, it reminds me of an old girfriend.
Short & fat, and cute as a bug. lol

My current firmware is V1.0 Build 20220519
Is this the most up to date firmware?
If not, could someone reply with the current firmware?

No, the A119 Mini is a new model. Very similar to the V3, but with WiFi.
