A119 v3 came with some kind of film/protector sheet that isn't in any of the review/unboxing videos.

Is this new? What is it for?

Is it an electrostatic sticker for putting on your windscreen before using the 3M sticky pad?
If so then it makes it very easy to remove the camera instead of a big fight against the 3M glue.

If you are referring to the peel-off film that covers the screen, but when I received my A119 V1 in January 2017 it came with a file/protector sheet attached to the viewing screen I just left it there. Hasn't come off (yet), and I'll leave it there because I rarely use the screen except to verify that the unit is recording. Besides, it protects the screen somewhat.

This film is meant to stick between the dash cam mount and the windshield. It allows for much easier removal of the dash cam without leaving adhesive residue on the windshield.
