A119S does not turn on

Hi everyone

At first sorry for my english.

I have 2x Viofo A119S. One bought as a new and it works perfectly, second as used and one day it just stopped working.
Camera does not react to power source. I plugged power cable directly to camera, and also through the gps module.
When I connected camera to my laptop it didn't react but laptop made a sound like to every plugged usb device and that's all.

Then I took mainboard from working camera and swap with second camera. Everything worked. Mainboard from second camera didn't work in the first.

What could be the issue? Capacitors? They are cheap and easy to change but on photos looks good.
Maybe this small battery is broken?
I do not know how old is camera.

for how long did the camera work after you bought it?
try assemble the camera but re-plug the lens cable first.
when you connect a camera to a phone charger (do you have one?) do you see any lights on a Power or Rec buttons?

unplugging and plugging back the lens ribbon cable sometimes help to recover the camera, I don't know why.
phone / wall charger is the one you use at home to charge your phone.

Power sources work for 100%.

I don't think the battery is the problem. In my eyes it's for saving your settings such as time and resolution,...

Did you already contact Viofo? They have a good support via email. support@viofo.com
 
Yes. I'm still waiting for reply from Viofo.
 
The small rtc battery is to maintain date and time only. Won’t affect camera startup. Have you tried powering without a memory card inserted?
If you’ve tried multiple cables and multiple power sources and get no lights at all, I think your camera needs replacing.
 
If you replace the PCB solve the problem, so the main issue will be the PCB.

I'm also surprised. I knew buying Viofo was a good choice, but now I will recommend them to everyone :)
