Thanks for the early 4Vf footage, great majestic building, almost looks like the low sharp50 not 72, if its at High level it's not enough to compensate for your Lens focus issue.
I can create a custom extreme high Sharp 80-90-100 MOD if requested.

Today I installed the 6Vf.
When you change the language into German there are no fonts. Tested it 2 times and set all settings to default after update but nothing changed. The only fonts I got are in the resolution menu.

Sure, I often drive through those tunnels. It's a part of a highway/express road in the city, there are often lots of trucks, you just have to get used to them. Other cars are way more unpredictable

Thanks for the report. Testing all official v4.02 Beta with new Sharpness Level MENU setting for all languages now . . .
Results : official v4.02B = all language MENUs work including German
MOD-6Vf Stable = all language MENUs work except German !!! WHAT ???

Update: German Language restored, slightly lowered High 72 to 70, removed numerical sharpness values (only needed during Beta testing) currently Soft - Normal - Strong = 50 - 60 - 70

Thanks for 6Nj Beta comparison, these sharpness levels guided the Stable version 50-60-70. Always a complex task comparing footage from Lenses with different focus. Your A119S Lens has near perfect center focus. When weather improves can you record short clip with Lens angle up 1/2 click. The current position is good for increased ground brightness, but angle up slightly for realistic scene brightness. Want to verify the hood isn't reflecting too much light also drive under power lines/wires for halo test if possible.

AMAZING Difference!! You Sir, now have a Perfectly Focused F1.6 coated Lens. Great job installing the new Lens. Hope the weather holds so you can record more interesting footage in your city, well done!

Yes, my lens angle is definitely too low. I didn't realize this until I pulled this footage but figured I would post it anyway. It doesn't look like it will clear up around here until this weekend but I'll get the footage once the time comes.

Got some new goodies today.

A new lens for my A119s with the bad lens.
It appears to be different yet from the other lenses I have. Still need to collect footage with it though to know what differences there really are.


Lens on the right is the old "Bad" lens; the lens on the left is the "New"

Also got a couple new CPL filters in today they are the new design. Larger diameter lens but smaller housing.
Makes for a much tighter and better fit on the camera.

Will post footage as soon as I am able to get some good sample footage collected.
Finally might be able to get some apples to apples comparisons going. It might be Green apples and Red apples but at least apples.

Also got another hardwire kit so this weekend I'll be running new wires in the collection vehicle.

Great improvement using replacement Lens, your original Len focus should never have been sold in that condition.
The new Stable MOD-6Vf should increase fine detail. Request short clips in parking lot and highway using Sharpness Normal60 & High70.

I contacted Viofo support and shared the info, photos and videos. They replaced the lens under warranty. If you are under warranty I would recommend contacting support.

If not...I had a stoke and haven't regained my left hand fine motor movement.
