I was looking at wanting to do the same thing here, I have also tried to download the Novatek decoder but found the original link which appears to be dead.
I have tried the above link, however its coming back as being somewhat "dodgy" and unsafe??

Would anyone have the Novatek decoder as a download link please.

Or advise of an alternative method to change the boot screen

Before we have an action camera that supports customize logo, the user only need to put their own logo on the SD card, then it will update automatically after power on.

If so what file type and size?
If no then can you assist in advising how I can change the boot screen logo?

This is not supported in dash cam, and no plan to implement this.
